Typography Design

In this project, I explored the principles of typography through the creation of a poster that labels various elements of letterforms. Using Adobe Illustrator, I analyzed the structure of individual letters and identified features such as the ascender, descender, serif, bowl, stem and other aspects of type anatomy.

I focused on creating a clear and organized layout that balances the alphabet with the labels and guidelines. I experimented with spacing, alignment, hierarchy and typography to make the information easy to follow while keeping the poster visually engaging.

This project helped me develop a better understanding of the structure and details that make up a typeface. By breaking letters down into their individual components, I became more aware of how small differences in letterforms contribute to the overall appearance and personality of typography. I also gained an understanding of how different typefaces impact the overall mood and readability of a layout.
